With due respect I disagree with most.
Myself and most of the known friends of mine are able to get education without spending a single rupee.
I remember getting a merit scholarship which actually funded my very meager college fees.
Compared to that in USA it would be next to impossible to get similar level of education without life time loans
Same goes with health and other expenses
Business wise most of Indian IT companies and other Indian companies are started by Individuals with minimum capitol and developing markets and good support from all around.
Agreed given amount of population, there are issues, but Industry growth rate is always higher than USA
About Indians giving back to India, I believe that the another reason of recent growth in India is due to NRI's giving back and the dollar revenue figures would be astonishing.
Immigration wise, the net migration to India from other countries is very much higher than net migration to USA. In fact this had been a problem in Mumbai/Chennai
Coming back to Indian IT companies, their business model is human capitol and not development like Google or Microsoft and they would never aspire to be one.
When asked long time back, Nehru once commented about rise in population, if properly used this would be asset as human capitol and that is what happening.
