Immigration Lawyer Recommendation

For those who need to get a good immigration lawyer, I am referring Mr. Alan Klein. He is a great attorney, responds on time, and files promptly. He has been my lawyer since 7 years and seen various approvals with him.

I had a question as to the procedure for responding to RFE. When an applicant gets any RFE for AOS,

a) Does applicant respond directly to USCIS with requested documents?
b) Does applicant hire an immigration attorney and have the attorney send the documents/response to CIS?
c) Does applicant provide requested documents to his company attorney and they send the response to CIS? [my is a big firm and I'm not sure how abt their response time for RFE's]

485 EAD and AP are the ONLY documents related to EB immigration whre you can represent yourself. All other documents need employer representation which is typically done through a lawyer.

You can choose to use a lawyer for 485 EAD and AP. But that's a choice.

AOS is a big deal for most. So I would advise going through an attorney. Attorneys generally have a liaison with USCIS, and can access higher level resources.

shows an example of RFE response by applicant himself, not lawyer.

If you already filed 485 through an attorney, be it company attorney, or your own hired, you should use same attorney, as he knows your story.

If you paid real cheap for filing 485, such attorneys charge extra to help with RFE, otherwise it's all included.

RFE letter states how many days you have to respond. In response, RFE letter copy is attached, as well as a cover letter, as shown in example website above.

my personal advice: Please use a proper lawyer always in 485 dealings.

Thanks Nishant & Q. My employer is a fortune 500 company and the paralegal team is the least accessible. Since I'm holding H1B status anyway, there is no business loss, so I'm not sure how they co-operate with any kind of personal RFE's (like BC or Marriage etc related). So I was wondering how the situation would be if I choose not to use my company paralegal and either do myself or hire outside attorney.
