Problems-Issues with 485 Case Processing

The celebrations didn't last long. Now the status changed from New Card Is Being Produced to Case Was Reopened For Reconsideration. I saw some Telegram posts where this happened to some folks but the status changed to Case Was Approved the following day. I hope that's the case for me too. Oh.. man, this is a roller coaster ride.

Please wait for a couple of days. I did spend a lot of time worrying over the exact same status in late may. You may have seen my message in Telegrams :)
It should be all OK. Rest easy and smell the green grass or autumn leaves.

No response from EMMA for updates....

Any suggestions how to sue the b******s working at these agencies?

How sorry this situation must be. But don't lose heart. The first thing you should know is you are RIGHT at the top of the queue. So NEVER going to get retrogressed ever.

So this is now just a matter of time. Quit trying and just relax your mind.

I am sure you have already contacted senators congressmen/women etc and have opened SR and possibly sent a lawyer letter. Even if not - i will say just quit trying. Sometimes that works in life in general. My best and the force is with you. I am not kidding. It will happen.

I have reached out to Senator's office 3weeks back (followed up yday) and waiting for their intervention. Unfortunately my company and attorneys just try to keep us on the leash for cheap labor.
I have never seen an initiation of my H1-B extension and this time that came from my lawyer 8 months before the expiry, people at my place beg and plead even in the last 60 days for them to file. Attroneys just want to make money one last time before I get my GC (Vultures).

I always try to see things in a positive way and in this situation also I feel blessed because my kid who just aged out got the EAD with few weeks to spare on H4. I am happy for her that she do not have to go through the painful process thousands of people are going through.

Thank you all especially Q and Gurus for being there always to cheer me up from past 8 years.

An update: All good, the status changed to Case Was Approved yesterday in the afternoon. A big relief! @NeelVohra was right; it seems to be a glitch. Wife's 485 is still pending, but it should also get approved in the next couple of weeks based on what I read. Thanks to Q for providing this safe space. Others waiting in the queue, keep hope, you to will be greened soon.

I had got the following update. 2 days after it, I got a 'case was approved' notification and subsequently card was mailed status updates. So do wait a few more days.

Is it possible that 485 can be approved 3 days after EAD/AP is approved? It?s EB2-EB3 downgrade with PD nov 2012.
Our EAD/AP was approved on Jan 31st.
Current in EB2 next day, from feb1.
On feb4, Friday, 485 status updated to New card being produced.
No further updates probably because it?s weekend.
Could this be actual green card approval? Since ead approval also happened like 3 days before that, im worried if it?s some glitchy update. 😨

Doesn't sound like a glitch. Congratulations. This seems like a normal approval.

Lot's of folks have gc approval within days or right after EAD approval so that's not unusual. However, EB3 FA is Jan 2012 so technically you should not be approved. Unless you interfiled or USCIS somehow considered your application under EB2.

We got further update yesterday that Case was approved. We just became current on EB2 in Feb. We have approved I-140 under EB2 as well with the same employer. Our attorneys did mention last year that uscis can adjudicate with the appropriate category if you have 2 I-140s. Interfiling is also an option to basically just nudge them to pick up your file but it should happen automatically is what we were told. And I believe that is what happened in our case.

We got further update yesterday that Case was approved. We just became current on EB2 in Feb. We have approved I-140 under EB2 as well with the same employer.
