H1b dates recapture > Traveled outside US and re-entered >H1b recapture approved

Hi folks -

So my firm filed for recapturing H1b dates in March 2017 using my then current I-94#. Subsequently I traveled outside US and re-entered when the recapture was still pending. But I got a new I-94 but without the extended valid unto date (obviously!). And then my recapture got approved....however it has the same I-94 provided during filing time. The recapture approval is effective from last day of prior valid unto date till the new extended valid unto date.

Am I ok staying in US beyond the old valid unto date? In other words, does the I-94 with the extension automatically take effect?

If the recapture was approved after your most recent encounter with CBP, then the expiration date on the EOS takes over. USCIS will know that your H1B status was valid through the date recaptured for any future application
