Hello all,

I was one of the very few people who got to apply I-485 using the acceptance date and applied for I-485 in october. But I did not receive the hard copy of my I-485 receipt. I know the receipt number. My attorney didn't receive it either. They created a SR in november and we havent heard from USCIS so far. My attorney said they will be following up with them and does not recommend infopass appointment now.I have a India trip coming up in march and I am getting nervous. Is there anything I can do to get my I-485 receipt? Also, do I need the I-485 receipt if I use AP to enter? Any inputs greatly appreciated. Thanks !!

No you don't need 485 receipt to travel. I traveled twice and all I needed was EAD AP combo card and passport.

I second this. I have traveled several times on EAD/AP now and all I have needed is Passport+EAD/AP Card. They have not asked for anything else at PoE. I do carry I-485 Receipt, I-140 approval, EAD/AP Receipt etc (not everything in original) just to be extra cautious - but have never needed any of those.

if you have separate AP Document if you need just AP and Passport, even EAD is not asked for. I have traveled quite a few times now.
