That's just the much-debated I-140 EAD/AP idea that's going through rule-making process currently. The only intention behind that blog seems to be riling up controversy and making noise about all the "unfair" preferential treatment given to legal immigrants...ha!

Sounds like NUSA/FAIR wrote this article using Ian Smith's name ! They have done it before through other journalists.

Ian is part of IRLI, that's in the business of lawsuits against govt. If I am not mistaken ,the recent H4 EAD and OPT lawsuits were brought in by this group. .Miano is part of this group. The only goal for them is to have a status quo and get more and more indentured folks in the LPR queue (all in the guise of helping americans!)

That article reeks so much lewdness and stupidity. EADs are "coveted" because people can "apply for welfare"!! EADs undermine US worker protection? Where is this ass, Ian Smith, getting his fodder from?

This article is masquerading as a thorough research article, with details about the immigration process, but well sprinkled with absurdities and lies. Typical right-wing nonsense.
