Hi All,
Have a urgent question and please move to appropriate thread later.
My and dependents H1 and H4 extensions are approved in last week of Oct.
The Receipt and Notice of Action (I797C) informing about the decision that it is approved and the approval will be sent is misplaced for the dependents.
I received and have a copy of the primary H1, receipt, Notice of Action (i797C) and also getting the I797A the actual approval with I-94 now (received last week).
But have not received the actual approval I-797A for the dependents yet and since the other receipt and notice of action are misplaced before I took a soft copy, wanted to check if there is a mechanism or process to request for copies of the same?

Appreciate a response and also family is planning to visit India in Dec and may have to book the interview at the Counsulate. The Previous I-94 expired on Sep/28 for all and thye were approved till Sep/27/17.

Regards

Do you have the receipt numbers? If you added them to online tracker, you should have it there?
I think you can call the USCIS and request.
Look for form I-824 and I-102.

Thanks for the link and will follow up. I already raised SR for the same since I remeber the EAC number.
The issue discussed in the links is about the I-797A of the primary H1 holder. I am better placed in the sense that I still have the original and the copies of the primary H1 holder I-797A forms.
The lost ones are the receipt notice and approval notice and I guess I never received the I-797A with I-94 for dependents when applied for extension.

So was checking if we can get a duplicates. Since they are anyway travelling in Dec to India, they will go to counsulate for stamping and with my I-797A they can get stamped.

Another follow up question -
For the Dependents (H4) while applying for a visa interview at the consulate "there is a question that asks "Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services? " If the 140 is apprvoved for the Primary and dates were never current and 485 was not filed, should we fill for dependents as applied for immigrant petition or not applied?

Thanks.

Another quick question, with the devision of states and name change to Telangana, when filling forms should we state the state as Telangana for address and other details even though the passport says the place of birth and place of issue and other stuff as Andhra Pradesh?
