Travelling on OPT without F1 visa stamped

Hi All,


I am currently on OPT and have completed my Post graduation Certification course in Software Engineering. I have COS from H4 to F1 and do not possess F1 Visa stamped. Now, I have an urgent need to travel India because of serious issues going in my family at my native place. My OPT is valid till Dec 2014.

Is there a way to visit India safely without any problem for my Visa and OPT as my F1 visa is not stamped. Kindly help me by guiding on my question. Its urgent.
I would really appreciate it.

Since you already completed education and were on H4 before F1 (thereby implying financial viability) - I don't think stamping F1 would be a problem.

Even otherwise - don't worry too much. Life is a box of chocolates (as forrest gump's mama would say!). Wish you well for your family situation and stamping.
