I wanted to open a thread for everyone who will be current in august..
i have spent years making predictions ( not so much calculations which i started lately) but now want to focus on the finish line.
everyone who thinks its redundant don't need to join or pay attention to this thread and I am not sure if I am able to open it in the right way otherwise Q can help create this thread.
everyone with PD til end of 2007 can join this thread

Great idea indiani. I changed the title and made it sticky.

is anyone receiving texts these days for GC approvals or do we need to check for email?
I will end up checking every hour during the workday in that case.
for RFE the 2nd time there was only email but the first time i received the text and email.

i received text 2 days ago and my online status changed as"RFE evidence review". GC approvals will start from August 1st.

looks like its going to be luck again whether we get GC or not as there are upto 12k approvable cases including interfiling.
I will be nervously waiting till I get the email

I have read posts about the timing of leaving employer and have spoken to 2 immigration lawyers about the timing etc. so will not ask the same question but have few doubts ( which I havent mentioned with attorneys ) about what I would like to do if its safe:
1.open a LLC ( but not work ) after a week after GC. I will work under my LLC after about 4 months after GC
2. verbally tell employer abt plans to leave a month after GC but not give letter or email ( i need to tell him 3 months before the last day ). that will be total 4 month stay after GC
3. The pay will not be exactly the same after about 1 pay check as I plan to take paycheck based on revenue only ( which fluctuates ).
I need LLC months ahead to get insurance approals etc. before working on my own.
P.S: attorneys' opinion: one said 6 months recommended other said 3+ months reommended and neither one have come across a single case of citizenhip denial based on timing of leaving employer

At this point , for all EB2 Ind PDs till Dec 07 , is it right to assume most are pre-adjudictaed with out any final minute chance of an RFE .
Just wondering how they will really sequence approvals . Mixed responses I heard from various souces with immigration law , some saying it is typically by PD , some saying since everything is paper based and files , i.e loads of trays can be shared among various folks , leading to arbitrary approvals .
My situation : my client needs me to travel overseas on work and I've been putting off for a while . Told them after aug i could consider travelling freely as exp[ecting GC

You don't need a GC to start a LLC. You can start it even now. At least that was what I came to know from my friends.
IMHO If you can be with your employer for 4 more months another 8 weeks would not make much of different . You never know what would change after 5 years. All experience in citizenship are as of now. JM2C - Just My 2 Cents :)

IMO approvals will be random on all pre-adjudicated cases.

I just don't want to start now just before receiving GC as it might show ( in case of an audit ) that I am preparing to work on my own before GC approval. anyway in the setting of AC21 everything is confusing but I don't want to do anything until I get GC in hand and later the risk of doing anything is very slim and I am planning to stay 3+ months at the most 6 months

does anyone knows if in the past when the dates moved slowly with lost of pre-adjudicated cases, whether the GC's were issues according to PD?
i am not talking about early 2012 as the applications were newly filed. fiscal year 2010 and 2011.
I am guessing its going to be random but dont recollect any year apart from 2012 ( which is not ideal comparision)

Your spouse can start a company, if married :)
