Hello,

My first H1 expires next month (09/2011) and already got my H1 extended for 3 yrs (till 2014). But I got my extension approved during the time when I was working with Client A and after that I moved to a new project with Client B (Clients A & B are in different states). My employer is filing a H1 amendment petition. My question is, if my amendment petition gets denied for some reason, Will my extended H1 still remains valid untill 2014? (Infact I believe that I cannot go for visa stamping unless I get my H1 amended).

I really appreciate a response on this.

Thanks!

regardless of denied or rejected - an amendment should mean previous H1 goes out the windwo. Why doesn';t yyour employer simply fileanother H1? You can have 2 H1s at the same time in case you didnt know.

"Filing a new H1 with the same employer instead of amendment" - sounds good. Thanks for the advise.
