I am working in cognizant as aweb programmer in india, i have nearly 4.8 years of experience and i am computer science engineering graduate.

prior to this i have worked for small start ups from 1-3 years and then moved into a MNC(and insurance corp) which has a offshore development center office in india and now in the 5th year i am into cognizant.

I have heard that BS+5 years category - these days the experience from outside US are not being accepted so easily is it true, as they are unable to validate the documents provided.

I have the offer letter and experience certificates from 1-3 years of experience where i worked for as they are start ups

and from the 3-5 i have the offer letters, experience letters and banks statements along with pay stubs and income tax papers.

do these documents suffice for the eb2 approval in my case or will they slide me into eb3 when applied for permanent labor

Please advise what would be my chances of getting approved into eb2 and what else have to be submitted additionally to the above documents for approval.

Or else shall i do masters in US and then apply for h1b then think about eb2

Please Advise

mav - your future Us employer would make that call. You can influence / request the future employer. But ultimately its their call. As per whether you qualify today. Probably yes. But as I said - employer needs to be on your side. Otherwise on this forum we have great guys with great experience and US degrees who are still rotting in EB3.
