General questions could be:

1: What is your qualification?
2: What are do doing currently? i.e. working or studies...
3: Why you chose this particular university or how you came to know about it?
4: About proof of your finances i.e. bank statements or loan approval etc.
5: About family...
6: Your future goals...
7: Get prepared for a direct question like: 'How do I know you will return back after your studies?'

What I would suggest is to give short and straightforward answers with confidence.

thanks very much for your quick response.
please kindly assist in dealing with the question like diz....
why did yu choose Community College instead of University ?
As I said early, I have an H.N.D as my highest qualification and really dont know if it will not affect my chance of getting Visa because I have completed a degree and still going for an Associate Degree and it is Community College not university though my aim is to have america certificate as an added advantage to my qualification and if i return back to nigeria, there will be lots of chances to get a good Job.

It's difficult for anyone here to answer that question for you.
It could be any reasons from say lower fees, short term course, they don't require TOEFL or your current degree isn't sufficient for university degree programs.
And honestly none of them are really convincing though.

atom4cool - if I were you - i would say exactly what you just said above. Americans appreciate honesty and that goes a long way during visa application.

case in point - when we called my mother from India when my wife was pregnant in US, lots of our friends asked us to NOT reveal truly why my mother would be coming here. But I went against that advice and asked my mother to tell them as it is i.e. say that she was going to visit US to assist her daughter-in-law during pregnancy. My mother got her visa without a single further question.

So if that's what on your mind - just say that.

atom4cool - sad to hear that. It is not 100% required to show 100% funds required for duration of the program.

Having financial aid and/or scholarship is very useful. Do you have any from your US school?

You need to find it out with your school. Get the aid and retry for visa. Without any aid, one needs to show very solid financials and a strong motive to return to home country.
